 PV SOLAR IN USA

In 1954 Photovoltaic technology is born in the united states when Daryl Chapin, Calvin Fuller, and Gerald Pearson developed the silicon photovoltaic (PV) cell capable of converting enough of the sun’s energy into power to run everyday electrical equipment. Bell Telephone Laboratories produced a silicon solar cell with 4% efficiency and later achieved 11% efficiency.

In 1977 The U.S. Department of Energy launches the Solar Energy Research Institute “National Renewable Energy Laboratory”, a federal facility dedicated to harnessing power from the sun.

In 1980 ARCO Solar becomes the first company to produce more than 1 megwatt of photovoltaic modules in one year. And two years later their first photovoltaic megawatt-scale power station  goes on-line in Hisperia California.

In 1982 a worldwide photovoltaic production exceeds 21.3 megawatts.

This all brings us to today and one thing is for sure solar energy is not something new. In 2005 the U.S Government saw the incredible potential of harvesting the sun’s energy to power residential homes and business and has launched the ITC by the Energy Policy Act of 2005 and was set to expire at the end of 2007. Thanks to the popularity of the ITC, and its success in supporting the United States transition to renewable energy economy, Congress has extended its expiration date multiple times, including most recently in December 2020 to extend the ITC at 26% for two additional years.

Why should you make the switch?

There are many reasons why a homeowner or a business will shift from its utility company to Solar. Some will do it because they are “green” , some will do it because it adds value to their property , some will do it because they want to have control over their electrical bills, but no matter what to drive is switching to solar is the best thing you can do for your property and financial benefits.

What is required to get solar on your property?

The first most important thing is that you must be the homeowner of the property, renters can not have solar installed. The process is very simple, we will send one of our specialist to your property to conduct a complete evaluation of your electrical consumption and any future increase in consumption you may have due to: adding sq ft, building an ADU, or adding additional loads to the property. Once all information has been reviewed (we need one year of electrical bills present at the appointment) our specialist will educate you regarding the equipment we offer, different options and how the system will integrate to your home. If you like everything that we have to offer and can see the benefits in installing a solar system we will have you complete a detailed contract and start working on your plans right away.

What to expect on the installation day

Our crew will arrive between 8-9 am on the installation date, we will start the installation by securing mounting hardware to your roof to support your solar system. We know that one of the biggest fears that customers have about solar is the potential roof damages, but with sunrise you will have that peace of mind knowing that the owner of the company Moti Atia holds 6 US Patents in solar mounting equipment ( Patent # 11313591, #10840850, #10320325, #10277162, #10236821, #9954479, #9577571). Once all mounting hardware has been installed we will wire all the electrical components such as the inverter, optimizers, micro inverters to your main electrical box, install the solar modules and run a test. The following day we will request city final inspection for your system and once it has passed the inspection we can file for interconnection with the utility company. The utility company will issue a PTO (permission to operate) and then your system can be turned on. Our representative will stop by at your property one last time to activate the monitoring equipment and to make sure the system works perfectly and answer any of your questions regarding the system.

Do I have to pay cash?

When switching to solar you have several options such as cash or financing. We offer some of the best low rate financing available on the market for solar energy.
